Structure & Material
Anina Putzi’s works are created through a multi-layered process that engages both visual and tactile senses. By combining spatula techniques, texture pastes, and various pigments, she develops a dynamic surface that constantly reveals new facets through changes in light and perspective. The deliberate application and manipulation of each layer introduce complexity, infusing the composition with depth and movement.
Metallic pigments—such as gold, silver, or shimmering hues—are integrated into individual layers and respond to incoming light, causing the piece to appear in constant flux depending on the viewer’s angle. Structures are intentionally built, overlapped, and partially uncovered, establishing a dialogue between concealment and revelation.
